MYO Presenter
Fury Young is a multi-disciplinary artist from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. From a young age, Young was determined to become a film director. His plans changed when the Occupy Wall Street movement began, and his artistic urges became more immediate than film would provide. He began writing poetry and learning guitar at this time, while also intensely engaging in social justice pursuits.
In Fall 2016, Fury Young's debut collection of poetry, Meat & Milk, was published through Lit Riot Press. Young is currently producing the Die Jim Crow Project , a concept album about racism in the U.S. prison system, which is written and performed by formerly and currently incarcerated black musicians from across the country.
